Rotary Mowers for turf growers

On this webpage, you will find the full range of rotary mowers for turf growers that we deliver. Conventionally driven by a drive shaft but also electrically driven rotary mowers. We sell progressive circle mowers in all countries, but we sell eco clipper mowers exclusively in the UK. The eco clipper mowing system is aimed at the regular maintenance of large areas of cultivated turfgrass as turfgrass farms. It is an alternative for cylinder mowing that approximates the finishing quality of a well set up and operated cylinder mower for considerably fewer costs. Eco Clipper mowers are powered by electric motors that receive their power from an aggregate that is driven by the PTO shaft of a tractor. Progressive stands for Reliability, Durability, and Quality of Cut. Progressive mowers enjoy strong brand recognition and a solid reputation within the industry for well designed, durable products that provide lasting value to the user.

TDR-15B Tri-Deck Roller Finishing Mower

Versatile and Productive
Progressive’s 4,7 m (15½ feet) TDR-15B Tri-Deck Roller finishing roller mower is an ideal choice for municipal grounds care, parks, sports facilities, polo fields, or estates, in either wet or dry conditions. This versatile mower can cut as low as 1,3 cm (½ inch). Full width rollers smooth the field surface and stripe for a pleasing visual impact. The rollers can speed divot repair, promote root-to-soil contact, aid plant health and help moisture retention. The superior quality cut comes from high lift rotary blades that create enough vacuum to lift the grass for a clean uniform cut and then disperse the clippings evenly over the rollers. Easy access to height adjusters makes setting the height of cut quick and precise. Rear rollers also provide extra protection for the discharge of clippings and debris. Progressive’s exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ is standard equipment — this allows the decks to be temporarily lifted slightly off the ground with the PTO still engaged and without fear of driveline damage. The TDR-15B is another example of the ingenuity and quality that goes into producing a durable and productive rotary finishing mower that is easy to maintain. The TDR-15B not only provides versatility of use and quality of construction, it is “The Better Built Choice”.

TDR-22 / TDR-22G Tri-Deck Roller Finishing Mower

Full width 15 cm (6”) diameter steel rollers front and back follow the ground contours and help prevent scalping while they smooth the field surface and aid in moisture retention. A high blade tip speed (18,300 fpm) ensures a high quality finish cut, while a choice of four blade types allows the TDR-22 / TDR-22G to be tailored to meet your specific requirements. The unique bolt-on deck design in a choice of either painted or galvanized deck skins, lowers the cost of ownership over the long term. Independent suspension on the transport wheels provide smoother travel between fields. The second generation TDR-22 has introduced several significant changes including: revised wing pivot geometry, enhanced fore/aft deck balance, an extra wide transport tire option that further reduces ground pressure and a focus on reduced maintenance requirements lowering the cost of ownership and operation.

Ideal Front to Back Deck Balance.
The deck pull points are positioned slightly ahead, but much closer to the deck than how competitive models are designed. The TDR-22 decks are pulled – not pushed with the result that there is less loading on the front roller, making the TDR-22 well suited for use in soft ground conditions, while the ability to follow changing contours is unsurpassed. Requires one float circuit.

Bolt-on Deck Galvanized decks:
For producers who grow in sandy, or acidic soil conditions, the bolt on deck design allows for inexpensive replacement of the deck if necessary. The galvanized skin provides added protection necessary for long life in these types of soil conditions or where rusting from fertilizer use is a concern.

TDR22-6 - 6 Blade 6.7 m Tri-Deck Roller Mower

More cuts per meter, a finer finish cut at a fraction of the operating cost.
The TDR-22-6 introduces a 6 blade deck using 406mm long blades. These blades and a high tip speed provides more cuts per meter of travel, resulting in a finer finish cut, similar to that of a reel mower but at a fraction of the operating cost! The TDR-22-6 offers unparalleled performance and value as it incorporates many standard features and the reduced maintenance designs that have been field proven in existing production mowers.

Six-way deck float allows the full width 50 mm diameter steel rollers on the front and back of each deck to follow changing ground contours. The productivity advantage of Progressive’s exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ is standard equipment on the TDR-22-6.

Operators can slightly raise the decks off the ground with the PTO engaged, making the TDR-22-6 “easy on the turf” when turning at the headlands, resulting in more harvestable acres! The unique bolt-on deck design lowers the cost of ownership over the long term. Independent suspension provides smoother travel between fields and the standard high floatation tires minimize ground compaction. The peace-of-mind reliability and productivity of the TDR-22-6 is only available from Progressive.

A Finer Finish Cut with Six Blades
The TDR-22-6 have 6 blades in each of the three decks. They are equipped with replaceable Pro-Ez blade tips for efficient and economical operation. The high tip speed of the 406 mm long blades provides more cuts per meter of travel, resulting in a finer finish cut, similar to that of a reel mower but at a fraction of the operating cost.  Forward openings in the bolt-on deck shells enhance air flow which both aids in standing the grass up before cutting as well as permitting the even distribution of the discharged clippings.

TDR-26 / TDR-26G 26 Foot Tri-Deck Roller Mower

Maximizing productivity and reducing operating cost is what the TDR-26 / TDR-26G is all about. Designed with a ‘ideal sized’ 7,8 m. (25’8”) cutting swath, it balances the need for increased cutting capacity in a cost effective roller mower. The TDR-26 / TDR-26G is “easy on the turf” when turning at the headlands for more harvestable acres! Like all of our mowers, we designed the TDR-26 as if we were maintaining the mower ourselves, so simplifying and reducing service requirements was an important goal. Maintenance free blade spindles, sealed roller end bearings, with extended 100 hour PTO shaft greasing intervals and fewer grease fittings overall means more time cutting – less time maintaining. We kept it simple: no electro-hydraulic valves or sensors are required. For the ultimate in reliability, many components are fully interchangeable with Progressive’s field proven TDR-22 and TDR-30 models. Focusing on the needs of the turf producer, Progressive offers four blade options for the TDR-26. The producer can optimize their cut and maintenance costs depending upon the growing conditions by selecting between two fixed blades and two Pro-EZ Change replaceable tip blade options – all featuring Progressive’s renown cut quality. Peace-of-mind reliability and productivity is only available from a Progressive mower.

Simple and Easy Operation:
The TDR-26 / TDR-26G retains the easy maneuverability and simple operation of a trideck mower. Requiring just a single hydraulic circuit with float, the TDR-26 / TDR-26G can easily track changing contours as each deck as six-ways of float. A single pull rope releases the transport locks so there’s no need to dismount the tractor.

TDR-30G Galvanized Tri-Deck Roller Mower

Designed to increase productivity on every pass!
Progressive once again has raised the bar in the favor of turf grass producers, offering unmatched productivity on every pass. The TDR-30G Roller Mower was designed with a ‘right sized’ 9 m. (29’6”) cutting swath. Progressive has balanced the need for increased cutting capacity with the available horsepower of tractors commonly used in sod production. The TDR-30G’s unique Flex-Deck design covers more width per pass and is “easy on the turf” when turning at the headlands, for more acres cut in less time! Focusing on the needs of the sod producer, Progressive offers four blade options for the TDR-30G. The producer can optimize his cut and maintenance costs depending upon the growing conditions by selecting between two fixed blade lifts and two Pro-EZ Change Blade options – all featuring the renown Progressive cut quality. Like all of our mowers, we designed the TDR-30G as if we were maintaining the mower ourselves, so eliminating all daily service requirements was an important design goal. Maintenance free blade spindles, extended 100 hour PTO shaft greasing intervals and fewer grease fittings all mean more time cutting – less time maintaining. And to keep the TDR-30G cutting over the long term, pivot bushings are easily replaced.

TD65 Tri-Deck Finishing Mower

Superior Quality – Superior Cut
The Progressive TD65 is a Tri-Deck rotary finishing mower providing a 4,7 m. (15.5 feet) cut. The TD65 is both operator and maintenance friendly and it has become the choice of sod professionals for mid-size operations for many years. The three independent floating decks are mounted on a robust transport frame. These decks conform to and follow most undulations and other ground conditions. By using your 30-50 H.P. tractor the TD65 can mow up to 90 acres in an eight hour day. Field proven, Maintenace Free Blade Spindles offer peace of mind and lower cost of operation. The superior cut is the result of our deck design. High lift rotary blades create enough vacuum to lift the grass for a smooth, even cut and then disperse the clippings evenly through the rear discharge system which is unique and an integral part of the deck design. The result is a superior after cut appearance. Only minutes are required to change cutting heights from   25,4 mm to 127 mm  (1” to 5”) without the use of tools. In addition, all operating functions for transport and mowing positions are activated from the tractor seat. The TD65 is another example of the ingenuity and quality that goes into producing a durable, reliable, rotary finishing mower that is easy to maintain. The TD65 is not only of superior quality, providing a superior cut, it is “The Better Built Choice”.

Maintenance Free Blade Spindles :
Developed and tested over several years, Progressive TD65B incorporates maintenance free blade spindle assemblies as standard equipment. Completely interchangeable with a greased spindle, the same housing is used providing wide spacing between the bearings ensuring low bearing loading and long service life. Maintenance free blade spindles not only protect the owner’s investment from a missed service, it also reduces overall maintenance time and costs.

A superior cut for a superior finish:
High lift rotary blades create enough vacuum to lift the grass for a clean even cut and then disperse the clippings evenly through the rear of each deck for a superior after cut appearance. An optional mulching kit is available to help return clipping nutrients to the soil. High flotation tires support each floating deck ensuring good ground contour tracking without the fear of soil compaction.

Designed for the real world:
Progressive designed the TD65B mowing deck to provide even dispersion of clippings through the open rear discharge area – avoiding clumping and windrows. Only minutes are required to change the TD65B cutting height from 1″ to 5″ without the use of tools.
